Snowy Glow
When there's tons of snow on the ground from the 2016 Snowpocageddon, you don't need any reflectors or lighting assistance! The natural light from the sun and the snow as a reflector and you have the most beautiful, soft, glowing light you could ever ask for. And soprano Tirzah Hawley was smart enough to choose a snowy photoshoot! There was something about this photo in particular that just stole my heart. There is no reflector used at all. The glow comes from the sunlight bo

Snow Queen
Apologies for the blog hiatus - it wasn't for lack of photoshoots! I will updating with all the wonderful people I have been able to photograph in the past few months. There have been some very brave souls facing the cold, but the snow (from this year's Snowpocageddon) has been an asset in lighting these shoots! Some other big news: I have purchased some softboxes and other lighting equipment and will soon be able to shoot videos and photos indoors! But now, back to a very br

That Special Autumn Glow
During a gorgeous sunset on what had otherwise been a bit of a stormy, gloomy day, new Peabody graduate mezzo-soprano Elizabeth Sarian and I headed out to Seton Hill here in Baltimore to enjoy the autumnal glow. I just love the way her hair catches the light! Elizabeth is studying with Stanley Cornett. #mezzosoprano #publicityshots #SetonHill #baltimore

I'm Ready For My Close-Up!
Countertenor Min Sang Kim and I headed out into the last sunny days of summer in Seton Hill here in Baltimore to play around. I'm sure he will kill me for posting this, but it's just too great not to! The sass factor was high on the shoot and I loved it beyond all reason. Min Sang is beginning his Graduate Performance Diploma studies with William Sharp at Peabody this year. #countertenor #baltimore #SetonHill #park #headshots

Lion-esque Bravery
Soprano Alexandra Schleuderer braved the brisk, crisp, wintery chill this past weekend to take somem headshots in Mount Vernon with one of our favorite mascots of the area. Thank goodness for the bright, December sunshine! Alexandra is studying with Ah Young Hong at Peabody Institute. #baltimore #headshots #mountvernon #photo

Play the Diva
Sometimes you just have to embrace the stereotype of the opera singer and go for the Diva, whether that brings to mind Audrey Hepburn, Jackie O, or la Divina, Maria Callas. Soprano Victoria McGrath went all out and looks stunning doing so! Victoria studies with both Phyllis Bryn-Julson and Steven Rainbolt at Peabody. #baltimore #headshots #mountvernon #soprano

That Good Ol' Baritone Smarm
Now that school has started, we're in plain audition season as singers. I'm excited to kick off this audition season with photos of new baritone, Thomas Hochla. He is working on his Masters in the studio of William Sharp. #baltimore #baritone #headshots #mountvernon #photo

Acrobatics!
Composer and keyboardist John Henderson wins the award for most energetic and acrobatic photoshoot thus far. Hands down! Everywhere we explored, he was jumping on things and turning upside down - makes my job super easy! John studies composition with Oscar Bettison at Peabody. #baltimore #headshots #mountvernon #publicityshots #photo #composer

Bask in the Glow
Now that it's truly feeling like August, this shot of tenor Joshua Glassman just captures the summer sunshine down in Fells Point on the pier. Cannot wait to share more of this Fells Point photoshoot! Josh is studying with Stanley Cornett at Peabody. #baltimore #tenor #fellspoint #photo #headshots #publicityshots

Diva Pose
The weather could not have been more beautiful this afternoon during soprano Sarah Baumgarten's photoshoot. We had a great time around Peabody and down by the musical instruments near Harbor East. So many beautiful surroundings demand some diva moments! Sarah is studying with Ah Young Hong. #baltimore #mountvernon #photo #publicityshots #soprano #innerharbor
